Rebetika in de Ursulinenkapel

Η Μαρια Πλούμη και η Θεοδώρα Αθανασίου θα φέρουν την ρεμπέτικη και την σμυρνέικη παράδοση στο Tilburg. Στις 9 Ιουνίου η Μικρασιατική μουσική θα αναβιώσει στο Ursulinen chapel υπο τους ήχους του μπαγλαμά (Μαρία Πλούμη) και της κιθάρας (Θεοδώρα Αθανασίου). Η βραδιά θα λάβει χώρα στον κήπο του Ursulinen Chapel, ή σε περίπτωση κακοκαιρίας στο εσωτερικό του νεογοτθικού ναού.

Maria Ploumi and Theodora Athanasiou will bring rembetika and smyrneika traditions to Tilburg. At the 9th of June the Greek folk music tradition from Asia Minor will revive in Ursulinenkapel under the sounds of baglamas (Maria Ploumi) and guitar (Theodora Athanasiou). The performance will take place at the Garden of the Ursuline Chapel, or, in case of bad weather inside the Neo-Gothic Chapel.

Zondagmiddag komt Griekenland naar Nederland. In de tuin van de Ursulinenkapel in Tilburg treden Maria Ploumi (ud, baglamas/zang)  en Theodora Athanassiou (gitaar/zang) op met hedendaagse rebétika en smyrneïka, de Griekse Blues. Deze  Griekse zelfkantliederen uit de eerste helft van de vorige eeuw behoren tot de oosterse muzikale traditie.
